Portugal won this couple over with its culture and food. The Douro added drama, in the best way. Guests met in Porto, travelled by train along the river and arrived ready for a proper few days together. We kept decoration light and let the landscape speak, except for bold, colourful flowers that honoured the couple’s heritage and brought personality. The real focus? Wine poured generously, food that did the region justice and a dance floor that simply wouldn’t empty. The boat ride the next day, drifting along the river, was the perfect soft landing.
